Installation and maintenance for robot vacuums

Installation of Zoef Robot Vacuum Cleaners

1. Unpacking and Placing the Charging Dock

  • Place the charging dock on a flat surface with at least 1 meter of free space on both sides and 1.5 meters in front. This allows the robot to dock and start cleaning easily.
  • Plug the charging dock into a power outlet. Ensure the dock is stable and receiving power.

2. Initial Charging

  • Place the robotic vacuum cleaner on the charging dock and let it charge fully. The first charge may take longer but is essential for optimal battery performance.

3. Docking Station (for Willem and Arie Models)

  • Willem and Arie models come with a docking station that automatically empties the dustbin after each cleaning cycle. Ensure the docking station is properly connected and placed. This eliminates the need for manual dustbin emptying, providing added convenience.

4. Installing the Zoef Robot Smart App

  • Download the Zoef Robot Smart App and connect the robot to your Wi-Fi network. This allows you to control the robotic vacuum remotely, set cleaning schedules, and view cleaning reports.

Maintenance of Zoef Robot Vacuum Cleaners

Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure a long lifespan and optimal performance of your Zoef Robot vacuum cleaner. The frequency of maintenance depends on usage and the environment in which the robot operates.

1. Emptying the Dustbin (for Models Without Docking Station)

  • If your robotic vacuum does not have a docking station, you need to empty the dustbin manually. It’s best to do this after every cleaning session or at least weekly.
  • Remove the dustbin, open the lid, and empty the contents into the trash. If necessary, wipe the inside of the bin with a soft, dry cloth.

2. Docking Station Maintenance (for Willem and Arie Models)

  • For Willem and Arie models, the docking station automatically empties the dustbin. Check the dust bag in the docking station monthly, or when the device indicates it’s full, and replace the bag if needed.

3. Cleaning and Replacing Filters

  • Zoef Robot vacuum cleaners use filters to trap dust and maintain airflow. Clean the filters weekly by gently tapping them to remove debris. Replace filters every 2–3 months for optimal performance.

4. Brush Maintenance

  • The side brushes and main brush collect a lot of dust and debris during cleaning. Check the brushes weekly for accumulated dirt, such as hair, and remove it. Replace brushes if they are worn out to ensure efficient cleaning.
