Can I program the robot to clean at specific times?
Bobbie 4.0 is programmable via the "Zoef Robot Smart" app: you can easily set timers according to your schedule. For example, you can choose Saturday morning, while you are not there. Evert offers simpler operation via remote control and button, but no planning. This makes Bobbie 4.0 ideal for households and small businesses that want to experience freshly clean windows at fixed times.
What are the minimum and maximum dimensions of a window for the robot?
The Bobbie 4.0 works best on windows larger than 50×50 cm. For smaller windows, the robot cannot turn and move sufficiently to clean the surface properly. Practically speaking, there is no maximum window size; the robot can clean almost any large window, as long as it can be safely placed and connected.
Does a window cleaning robot really clean my windows streak-free?
Yes! Bobbie 4.0 and Evert work effortlessly both indoors and outdoors. Bobbie 4.0 even functions on wet outdoor windows without losing grip. Evert also cleans outdoors, but requires window frames and flat terrain. Both are perfect for conservatories, attic windows, and large glass surfaces.
How often should I wash or replace the microfiber cloths?
Wash the cloths after each use at 30–40 °C to remove dirt. For weekly use, we recommend replacing the cloths every 2–3 months to ensure streak-free cleaning. This will keep the robot performing as intended and make your investment worthwhile.
How quiet is a window cleaning robot during use?
Our robots are surprisingly quiet: Bobbie 4.0 operates at around 62 dB, comparable to normal conversation tones, and Evert is likely similar due to the same suction motors. This allows you to work or entertain guests while the robot does its job without disturbing noise. Ideal for households and offices that value peace and quiet. For extra quiet use, simply switch to a quieter mode in the app.
How many years does a window cleaning robot last on average?
Zoef Robot guarantees reliable performance for up to 2–3 years of active use, provided you regularly replace the microfiber cloths, clean the wheels, and check the safety cord. Many users even report use beyond five years, thanks to simple parts replacement and maintenance. For optimal lifespan: store the robot dry, use only recommended agents, and replace consumables in a timely manner. This way, you get maximum value from your investment.
Can a window cleaning robot also clean slanted or sloped windows?
Yes! Bobbie 4.0 and Evert can work upside down, such as on roof panels or sloping windows, as long as the glass is even and the safety cord is correctly attached. Sloping windows up to approximately 30° are no problem, thanks to strong vacuum suction. Please note that joints or damage should be avoided – smooth and flat glass is essential. Ideal for conservatories, skylights, and sloping facades.
How do I maintain the cleaning cloths?
The cleaning cloths can be washed according to the instructions in the manual. Replace them if necessary to maintain optimal performance.
Does the robot get stuck during a power outage.
Yes. Both models have a backup battery that keeps the robot on the glass for up to 15–20 minutes in the event of a power failure, plus a loud emergency alarm for extra safety. This prevents falls, even in the event of a power failure. Extra reassurance for high windows and commercial buildings.
How do I install the safety rope and prevent falls?
Attach the safety rope to a sturdy window or door frame or gap. Ensure the opening is smaller than the rope diameter, so the robot remains suspended if there is slack. Use only the supplied safety cord—suitable for windows above ground level. If in doubt, use an additional hook and mount it on a sturdy surface. This prevents falls and ensures compliance with safety guidelines.
Can the window robot clean windows with a slanted frame?
No, the robot does not work on windows with a slanted frame. Due to the slanted angle, the robot loses its navigation and can get stuck.
How safe is a window robot on high floors or with frameless glass?
Both robots connect firmly with a vacuum, without slipping. In the event of a power failure, the emergency battery switches on and the robot remains attached – plus a loud alarm sounds. In addition, you simply attach the safety rope to a window or door frame: this way the robot remains suspended, even if suction power is lost. Safe and reliable, ideal at height and without a frame.
What maintenance does a window cleaning robot need for optimal performance?
Both models are low-maintenance: wash microfiber cloths at 30–40 °C after use, wipe wheels and tracks, and replace cloths to prevent dirt buildup. Drying windows or too wet cloths reduce quality, so always start dry. Inspect the safety cord regularly for wear for continued safety.
How does the robot steer itself – which cleaning patterns does it use?
Bobbie 4.0 navigates with a gyroscope and smart edge detection, following a structured zigzag pattern for complete coverage, including corners. Evert uses rotating discs in fixed paths, guided by sensors to detect edges. Both robots automatically return to their starting point for easy removal. This gives you a thorough, efficient cleaning without missed spots.
Can a window cleaning robot also clean shower glass, mirrors or tiles?
Certainly! Thanks to vacuum technology, both models work excellently on shower glass and mirrors. Tiles and doors are also no problem as long as the joints are not too deep (as with Bobbie 4.0 and Evert; joints <8mm). Perfect for complete household cleaning, not just windows.
How do I control the robot: via app, remote control, or physical button?
Bobbie 4.0 offers versatile control: start via physical button, remote control, or the “Zoef Robot Smart” Bluetooth app for automatic patterns. Evert works with button and remote control – ideal if you like simplicity, without an app.
Is a robot window cleaner suitable for windows without a frame?
Yes, the Bobbie 4.0 is specially designed to clean windows with and without frames. Thanks to the integrated edge detection and the two water jets, it can effectively clean even on windows without frames.
No, Evert only works on windows with a frame.
Does a window cleaning robot work on battery or does it need continuous mains power?
The primary power supply comes via mains power (adapter and 5m cable). The internal battery is only intended as an emergency supply – not for daily use without mains power. For complete cleaning, always use the adapter.
Can I use the robot window cleaner on windows with screens or other obstacles?
The use of a robot window cleaner on windows with screens or other obstacles is not recommended. The presence of screens can reduce suction power and disrupt the robot's navigation, leading to ineffective cleaning or damage to the robot. It is important to ensure that the window surface is free of obstacles before using the robot.
Can a robot window cleaner also be used outdoors?
Yes, our robot window cleaners are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. With the 5-meter long cable, you can easily clean high or hard-to-reach windows. Make sure the window surface is flat and that the robot suctions properly before letting it go.
