Harm & Berta: does not turn on/Display does not work.
- The robot is probably not properly charged.
Step 1; Is there a good connection between the robot and the charging station?
- Clean the contact points of the robotic lawnmower and the charger thoroughly with a scouring pad.
- Is the charging station completely flat (so that the robot cannot roll backward and lose contact)?
- Place the robot manually on the charging station.
- Is the robot charging now?
Step 2; Is the charging station functioning properly?
- Check if the green LED on the charger starts flashing when the robotic lawnmower is on the charging station, until the battery is fully charged. If it stops charging within a few minutes, the contact is probably not good enough.
- Check if the boundary wire is properly connected. Strip it again or place the clamp a little further up the cable.
- Check if the LED light remains stable when you gently move the cable at the connection.
If it is not good, strip the cable back a little further. Or (for Harm and Betra) move the connector back a little further on the cable. - If it only lights up continuously, this means that the boundary wire is good but it is not charging or the mower is already fully charged.
- To check if the mower is not already fully charged, you should remove the mower from the charging station for 1 to 2 days and then test again whether the LED starts flashing green when it is placed on the charging station.
Step 3; Turn the mower ON/OFF several times.
- When the mower is on the charging station and the mower is charging, the green LED will flash and after a while the display will start working again.
- For Harm, it is also advisable to remove the battery (turn Harm upside down, the battery cover is on the back with 4 screws) and spray the contacts with a contact spray.
If none of this helps, we can check the robotic lawnmower for you.
