Bep: The robot drives backward

If the robot drives backward, this may be due to;

Dark spots (e.g., a mat) on the floor. The robot could see these as a drop-off, and the anti-fall sensors could then intervene.
Bright sunlight can create a high contrast on the floor. The robot could then think there is a drop-off and start driving backward.

The robot's bumper sensors cannot see properly.
- Clean the bumper thoroughly.
- Press the bumper firmly a few times at the location of the side brushes. The switch behind the bumper may be stuck.
The fall sensors detect something.
- Clean the fall sensors thoroughly.

Bep: cannot find the charging station (properly).

The robot does not make good contact with the charging station, so it does not charge.
The charging station is in a difficult-to-find place for the robot. Move the charging station to an easy-to-find place with enough space around the charging station.
Make sure the contact points on the robot and the charging station are completely clean. Go over them with a scouring pad to make sure they make good contact.

Bep: does not suck well.

Check that the filters are clean and replace them if necessary.
Check if there is still a flap in the dustbin. This plastic flap opens when it sucks, but prevents dirt from falling out of the dustbin again. If it is missing, check if it might have been thrown away when emptying the dustbin. We do not have this part in stock for all models. In that case, you will have to replace the entire dustbin.

Bep: The robot only drives for a very short time and then stops.

The battery is not properly charged.
- The battery is not charged. Place the robot on the charging station.
- The battery is not charging? -> Make sure the contact points on the robot and the charging station are completely clean. Go over them with a scouring pad to ensure they make good contact.
- The battery is dead. Order a new battery here .

Battery degradation;

A battery's operating time will decrease over time. There are various causes for this, and it is not always predictable. What certainly helps is to always leave the robot ON on the charging station. This keeps it in the best condition.

The lifespan of the battery is influenced by the following factors: Is the robot always ON on the charging station? Surfaces the robot drives on, environment (does the robot have to turn and maneuver a lot, suction power strength (lower suction power means longer operation and vice versa), temperature (in very hot or cold environments, the battery will perform less). Also, the spread between batteries can be large.

Therefore, the operating time is always an indication and it is not predictable how quickly it will decrease.

Bep with App: Connection failed

Should you experience problems connecting the app, the tips below can help you further.

1. Place Bep met App about one meter from the charging station
2. Reset Bep met App by switching off the on/off button on the bottom. Wait 10 seconds and switch it to 'on.'
3. Press both buttons on top of Bep met App, and hold them down until you hear two beeps.
4. Then, within 10 seconds, press both buttons on top of Bep met App again, and hold them down again until you hear two beeps.
5. Open the Zoef Robot App and click on the orange '+' in the top right. Choose 'Bep met App,' and confirm the WiFi network.
6. Press 'EZ Mode' in the top right and then select 'AP Mode.'
7. Follow the instructions. Choose 'connect now' and then select the available WiFi network that starts with 'SmartLife-'
8. Follow the instructions and Bep met App will connect automatically.

How do I replace the Battery?

Is your robot quickly running out of power, or is it no longer charging? Then it might be that with a new battery you can significantly extend the lifespan of the robot vacuum cleaner.

Replacing the battery is quite simple.

You can replace it yourself.

Between the two side brushes/on the bottom of the robot, there is a flap secured with two screws.
You need to unscrew these and remove the battery by unclicking the cable to which the battery is attached.
Disconnect the battery at the plug and connect the new battery.
Reassemble the flap and your robot vacuum cleaner is ready to go again.

Bep: does not start at the set time.

First, delete the set schedule;

Press the "Bell" icon on the remote control for about 4 seconds.
The robot will beep to indicate that the schedule has been deleted.
Press the "Clock" icon on the remote control for about 4 seconds.
The robot will beep to indicate that the clock has been deleted.

Reset the clock.

The clock on the remote control may be correct, but this does not mean it is also in the robot.

Press the "Clock" on the remote control to set the clock, the "hours" selection will flash on the display.
Use the and buttons to select the desired times,
Press "Play" (Triangle with two lines) to save the settings.
If Bep beeps, the command has been received.

Set cleaning schedule

Press the "bell" on the remote control to set the schedule, the "hours" selection will flash on the display.
Use the arrow keys (up down) and to select the desired times, and use the arrow keys (down and up) to switch between hours and minutes.
Press "Play" (Triangle with two lines) to save the settings.
If Bep beeps, the command has been received.

Bep: just doesn't fit under the couch or cabinet. How do I solve this?

If it's a matter of a few mm, the easiest way is to place extra thick furniture felt under the furniture legs.
This will allow the robot to pass under the furniture.
If it's a few centimeters, the robot will bump into it and turn around.
If both solutions do not work, it is advisable to see if something can be placed under it so that the robot cannot go under it.
No virtual wall is available for Bep

Bep: does nothing anymore

Check if the ON/OFF button on the side/bottom is ON.
Does the robot turn on manually but not with the remote control? Check if the remote control batteries are dead.
Clean the contact points on the bottom of the robot and on the charging station thoroughly.
Does the robot respond, but immediately start looking for the charging station?
- The battery is not charged. Place the robot on the charging station.
- The battery is not charging? -> Make sure the contact points on the robot and the charging station are completely clean. Go over them with a scouring pad to ensure they make good contact.
- The battery is dead. Order a new battery here.
